I tell ya, the folks were mighty friendly and had a voice translator for when my Japanese got tangled. The pastries from that bakery next door? Pure heaven! Only thing is, the room felt cramped with our luggage, but we made it work. Coulda used a bit more light in there too, but I was too busy exploring to mind much.

The location is fantastic, just minutes from Jimbocho station with plenty of cafes nearby. The breakfast options were quite disappointing, only pastries and limited choices.

The hotel offered a wonderfully vibrant atmosphere, surrounded by charming bookstores and eateries. I particularly enjoyed the abundant breakfast pastries and appreciated the free coffee and tea options in the lobby.

The room size feels cramped, leading to difficulties when moving around, especially with luggage. Limited space under the bed restricts storage options. Some rooms show signs of wear, such as persistent ventilation issues in the bathroom and inconsistent cleanliness. The pillow firmness leaves much to be desired, resembling rocks instead of providing comfort for restful nights.

Despite the room being small, it was clean and well-maintained. Staff were pleasant, and I appreciated their help with a voice translator when needed. There weren't many vegetarian dining options nearby, which could be a challenge for vegans or vegetarians.

The hotel provides multiple power outlets and complimentary pajamas. The bed is a bit hard.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel with my friends! The location was perfect, with many restaurants and cafes nearby. We visited the stunning gardens and the famous bookstore area, and the staff even helped us by holding our bags for a week. I recommend using nearby cafes for breakfast instead of the hotel’s.

One downside was the WiFi. It was a bit unstable at times, which made it harder to plan our outings or catch up with family back home.
